My Mate Ed Moore is really annoying!
Because he is young, talented and a very successful DOP. Ed's work is excellent and he's always busy.
This morning he just posted his latest project on Facebook and it's great. It's a promo film for a further education colege in London called City of Westminster College.
What struck me when watching it was just how cool the college looks to study in- and it's my bet that this film will dramatically increase the applications for the next intake.
Video in any form is a great marketing tool for any business but when it's done really well it becomes an even more powerful sales tool.
And that is what this is - it is a seduction video to encourage young peoplelto come to Westminster over anywhere else and I think it works brilliantly- top credit to the team at Clearhead http://clearheadmedia.com/

The promo was mostly shot on Steadicam by Ed and on the Red Epic. But what the behind the scenes illustrates is that a huge team of people made this happen. The agency are called clearhead and is run by Alex Lawrence and Gavin O'Brian
Get out and shoot more with others
I think one of the great tragedies of this whole new wave of Desktop DP's who spend all their time online commenting and not actually shooting is that they are missing out on the great collaborations that happen on set working with other people.
Getting together with other creative people really does make for great films and this promo is testament to just that.
Here's the behind the scenes film which reveals just how big a production this was - if you want to learn more about Ed then his website is edmooredop.com
