Den Lennie (2s):
Good day, guys! Den Lennie here with this week's Shorty for the How to scale a Video Business podcast. It's Tuesday, the 10th of November. We're week 46 of 2020, which means is that not much longer to go with so we get to at the end of the year in a fresh start for next year, but Today, I want to talk about results, the results from putting in the work that results from being consistent results from never giving up and certainly not getting anything out there for a fact what's going on with you and your business.

Den Lennie (47s):
So I wanted to just share some insights that my clients have been experiencing in the last few weeks. And we did a planning session last week, and we start that session by asking the question, what have we got to celebrate? What if we got to review and look back on and what are our wins and And I shit, you know, it's the first thing, people that sport. I first guy, I will mention the names with privacy, but the first person that said, well, we just closed a $45,000 a month. Second person said we just received a $35,000 of check.

Den Lennie (1m 29s):
I'm the third person who's said, yeah, we just received a $30,000 check and we do another one next month. And that's just from, you know, working hard, working focused, implementing systems, being consistent, being diligent, showing up every week and accepting responsibility for their own success and failure. And those people who are at that position, now, that's $110,000 of, of revenue just a one month for, from three clients. And we have many more stories and then I share this with one of my other clients on a call last week. And he was like, ah, man, you know, I don't know how you ever get to get to that stage and actually do it.

Den Lennie (2m 15s):
It's going to be on the, on the Podcast on Thursday. And then it just matches me this morning. And I said, man, you know, after our call last week, I was thinking about the fact that the other guy who has had such an, an amazing month and I was like, wow, wonder how am I going to get there? And he said, and then like within two days, an inquiry came in for a $50,000 projects to shoot a web series in LA. And he said, it, it just blew his mind. He just could not believe that by focusing on it and implementing the strategies that we are absolutely, you know, drummed into people, week in, week out in the video business accelerator, he just had this like it's, it's like $50,000 project.

Den Lennie (2m 55s):
And excuse me, Derick was in a real pickle back when COVID started, you know, he, he, he got, he got slammed. He got, he went to zero, bill everything back up, get him back up some, a six-figure projects. And a five figure project was on target to, to triple his business this year. And then the project comes into absolute bloated thing out of the water and sewer. So I want to really kind of, I started thinking about it. Do you know why is it that some clients go out in any, any crisis and the are able to make it happen, to win, to never see any opp object?

Den Lennie (3m 37s):
It's something that can be done through gone under, gone over a gone round on, there are other people who see external factors as the reason they're not successful. So it might be the election. It might be coronavirus. That might be any number of different reasons. And so really I've come to the conclusion. It's a mindset, it's a mindset and having the right support and the right systems building a business is, is, is he disciplined? It's a discipline that takes time and effort. And the only thing that certain and business is that you are going to have an object are obstacles, and your going to find yourself getting kicked from the ribs.

Den Lennie (4m 17s):
And you're going to find things feeling regularly. You know, any business owners who has been their own for any length of time knows that the, the, the primary default position in business is one of rejection and And and defeat and, and losing. But it's what makes us stronger. It's what its white wine. When, when a lag breaks and a bone breaks, when it heals, it heals with a callus and that callus, it heals the bone stronger. So every time we get kicked in the guts in a business situation, it's, this is one of two ways you can handle it. One is you can simply accept defeat and feel sorry for yourself. Or you can get back up and go, right?

Den Lennie (4m 58s):
What are the alarm from that? I've now got some hindsight, we've got some perspective, how can I move forward and win? And, you know, we've had a number of stories like this recently in, in, in a time when other video production companies I see on social complaining, they have had no work or complaining that things are hard. And yet insight our video business accelerator, we're seeing a different story. We've seen people succeeding. We're seeing people win big months and we are, we've got clients who are, who are at capacity and they're having to hire a more team and they've got the cash flow to do it. And then that actually, you know, looking for more support. So what I want you to ask yourself, the question, where do you sit listening to the show as if you've listened to it for a while?

Den Lennie (5m 44s):
You know what? You've got all the information. If you're not getting the results, why do you think that is? You know, do you think if you keep doing what you're doing, you've got to get a different result or do you think maybe you need some help because the guys that I am working with just now, you know, they are, they are implementing And. In some cases, some people who have been implementing the stuff for six, seven, eight months and has gone from virtually zero or, you know, 10 grand a month to 30, 40 grand a month. And, and I know scaling up because they've got predictability, they've got, they've got He perspective, you've got certainty.

Den Lennie (6m 25s):
And that is because we have a system, we have a system for how to build and scale a video production company. And it's not easy. And, but it's an awful lot easier when you're supported by other business owners who are in the same, those that can support it. It's a trial, you know, people who have got your back, who you can always turn to for help. And I'm really proud of the results my guys are getting. So, you know, in the space of two weeks, I, I, I, I I. And they usually have people that have actually told me the numbers, there's a, a $150,000 of new work or payment come in. And that's from three or four members out of 26.

Den Lennie (7m 5s):
So, you know, we are, we are winning at this game in a particularly challenging time. I'm very proud of the members and the work that they put in. And we are a family and we are, we are a tribe and I'm, you know, so I think it's important to share successes. And if this sucks, yeah, S great shoe that's okay. 'cause, you know what to do to succeed in life. It's good to polarize. If upset at you, if it bothers you, then ask yourself why and ask yourself, what are you not doing? That it's meaning your not getting the same results because the opportunities there to achieve the same results, if you are willing to be putting in the work, if you're, if you're committed and serious about your business and you want to put in the work, this is not an easy journey, but I'm seeing results with my members and nothing pleases me more than hearing someone excited to say it.

Den Lennie (8m 2s):
We just won a $30,000 project or a $40,000 project or a $50,000 projects. And let me be clear. These are small businesses. You know, these are a one man band businesses who scale their team up as they need. These are not people with offices and big teams. So yeah, a lot of them have officers. Some of them have to have one team member, but I'm seeing him increasingly that it's possible to run a multi six figure profitable Video business with one or two people. If you have the right systems, if you have the right resources, if you have the right people around you and when you bring the right people and you have the right systems to give them so that they can actually make the decisions and, and execute and allow you to be, you know, the genius at or whatever it is you do.

Den Lennie (8m 48s):
So I just wanted to share that to Def I feel very empowered by the fact that we've seen such incredible results with our members. And so if you are sitting, listening to this wondering, you know, what's going on in side, the VBA Then, I do encourage you to, to, to reach out. I'm not difficult to find sent me a message and say, Hey dad, look, I'm curious. I'd like to know a bit more because, you know, we were doing something right. And, and especially in a time when, when people are out there struggling, we are finding the opposite is true inside the VBA. And so I feel very proud to kind of share that with you because it's there, it's there. If, if you're in a position where you want to have a conversation and we feel we are a good fit and we can help you, then you too could have the same results, but it's going to take some work.

Den Lennie (9m 37s):
It was going to take some investment and you have to be willing to, to put some time in. But I mean, you know, if in six, seven, eight months time, you can be putting in a 20 to $30,000 project, isn't that worthwhile. And then you guys got Derick on a podcast on Thursday, and who's going to share a bit of his story. And I'll, I'll talk to you that much.
