How Jay Moyes left the trades to run his video business full-time

Jay was still doing plumbing and heading toward a second job, trying to make the video business work on the side and solving too many problems for free. A weekly group, real training and Den's straight-talking accountability turned it around. He now runs the video business full-time, on work he enjoys, including the Adelaide 500.

    Where Jay started

He was still working in the trades, plumbing between jobs, and drifting toward taking a second job to stay afloat. He had no one in the industry around him and was giving away too much problem-solving for free.

“When you have someone like Den who doesn't beat around the bush, he tells you exactly how it is. It's that kick up the behind that you need.”

    Jay Moyes

    The move

A weekly group and proper training gave him the structure he was missing, and Den's directness gave him the push. He calls it the kick up the behind he needed. He now runs the video business full-time on projects he genuinely enjoys, some of them sourced through the room itself.

“I now run my video business full time, doing projects that I really enjoy. One of those being working for Adelaide five hundred.”
